When I said yes to doing the BritMums Style Round-up, I did wonder if someone would come back at snigger. I’ll admit from my point of view I’ve never been in style. Maybe it’s a good thing though… I am keen to get that lust for clothes that I had pre-kids. It’s a must, now my childbearing days are over with baby 3 arriving last month, that my wardrobe has a complete overhaul as often as my toddlers does.
In the last year I have noticed a big shift into focussed fashion pieces on parent blogs. From style it kids to funky kid friday, from rockthebump to what mama wore we all seem to have started keeping an eye out for the latest designers and trends.
So what will be big for Christmas and going into 2016? Let some of my favourite blogging friends tell you…
Matchy Matchy
Like Hannah from Make, Do and Push we love matching. Twinning is winning after all. What’s not to love about going on a bear hunt as bear family? Its a look the London Mum loves too! Duffle coats, especially matching one, are perfect for a Christmas Day ramble (or short walk to the local).
Text Tees
Mother Tees from Selfish Mother is just one of the brilliant text tees around. Its cool to be just a mum or more than a mum. You are a mother and you rock. Profits go to charity and so far has raised over £50K for charities including Women for Women International, The Refugee Council UK, KIDS, and Help Refugees UK.
Cute Kids in British Brands
Amber at Goblin Child has a whole section dedicated to baby fashion and gosh does she know her stuff! She’s a dedicated follower of British brands Vibrant clothes for tots are a must and some of our home grown designers have it spot on. Say no to drab clothes for kids!
Rocking That Bump
When I started the hashtag in 2013/14 I didn’t expect it to be very popular but hoped it would spread little confidence amongst pregnant bloggers. Now it’s over with Jaime and this month she’s talking about underwear, if that doesn’t show bump confidence I don’t know what will!
We would love to know what your lusting over on your christmas lists? Let us know by tweeting #BritMumsStyle
