I love Halloween treats. This month I have found the tastiest, spookiest bakes along with some delicious ways to use up any leftover pumpkin that you may have!
Without further ado, prepare to get hungry, here are my favourite Halloween bakes!
Cookie & cake pops
Frankenstein Halloween Cookie Pops – Red Ted Art has created these fun cookie pops that include mini marshmallows as neck bolts will go down a treat with any spooky Halloween fans.
Edible Eye Balls – The “eyes” have it with these cake pops by A Strong Coffee. If you start to get the feeling something is watching you, eat it quick!
Tasty pumpkin recipes
Now onto three recipes that will fill you with ideas on how to use up the flesh after carving out your pumpkin. The flesh is too good to go in the bin, so check out these delicious ideas!
Pumpkin Spice Latte Cake – It isn’t just your favourite coffee shop that has pumpkin spice lattes. Taming Twins has created this exquisite Pumpkin Spice Latte Cake that tastes as good as it looks. If you are hosting an adult Halloween party or simply love pumpkin this cake will certainly be a showstopper!
Pumpkin, Sultana & Chocolate Chip Cake with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting – Gluten-free and Halloween-ready, this cake by the Gluten-Free Alchemist shares this recipe with the same ‘no waste’ ethos on one of my favourite ‘go to’ free-from blogs. It’s the perfect way to use any leftover pumpkin flesh!
Very Free-from Pumpkin Pie The Free From Fairy – This tempting pie, from my other ‘go to’ free-from blog The Free From Fairy, has a tropical coconut twist when combined with the autumnal pumpkin flavours you have a free-from tart that you really can indulge in!
Spooky bakes for parties or to make with kids
Pumpkin Piñata Cake – With this piñata by Mummy Mishaps you can literally eat the lot! When slicing into this Halloween pumpkin cake everyone will be amazed at what is hidden inside!
Choclate Orange Halloween Biscuits – This recipe by Julie’s Family Kitchen has combined two of my favourite flavours. These make both a tasty treat but also a fantastic activity to get the children baking over the weekend!
Halloween Cave Cake – This truly unique cake by Blue Bear Wood really does allow your creative side to shine. Once you have the cave stature you can make it as spooky as you can imagine, or just give the children the sweets, treats and icing and let their imagination take over!
Savoury Halloween treats
When it comes to Halloween bakes they do not all need to be sweet. I had great fun with the twins creating some fun Spider Web Pizzas and if you want to have healthy treats alongside the naughty ones have a look at my Fruity Halloween Treats.
