19 easy sweet and savoury scone recipes we love

Another warm and freshly baked welcome to you all. As the weather brightens I cannot help but feel like picnicking the pants off spring. I’m talking blankets, portable chairs and a mountain of Tupperware. I tell you, not even warm wine can put me off baking my way through May. So I thought it a perfect opportunity to investigate some fabulous tried and tested sweet and savoury recipes for scones, including buttermilk, sweet, savoury, fruit, gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free and more! It’s a perfect picnic food that can easily elevate a blanket spread to heady heights.

Fresh from the oven, homemade scones easily outshine their supermarket counterparts. Served warm with butter, they always leave me wondering why I don’t make a batch every morning before work.
