Today we are dedicating our time to Facebook and more importantly to your Page. Kerry Farrow aka Multiple Mummy wrote a comprehensive guest post back in May on the benefits of Facebook it holds some excellent tips very well worth noting.

Facebook, love it or hate it, is one of the #1 traffic referrers on the web and for that very reason brands all now have their own page where they can chat informally with possible clients across the world, Facebook isn’t a tool to be sniffed at.

Fanpages on Facebook

Have you got a Facebook fan page for your blog? It’s worth thinking about as all of your friends on there are already possible Likers and sharers of your content. As you grow your audience on the web Facebook remains an excellent place to connect with them by sharing photos, video clips and stories or articles you find interesting. If you find them interesting chances are so will they, that’s why they read your blog!

The web is full of tutorials for Facebook but what you should be looking out for is

  • how to set a fan page up,
  • how to get your custom URL
  • how to add a Facebook fanbox to your blog
  • How to use it to increase your traffic
If you have a post on the subject of Facebook why not leave it in the comments? Others can then come and visit and gain knowledge.

Link Up Your Facebook Fan page

A simple Like costs nothing and is zero time so whenever I pass by a blog and spot their Like box I click it, it will be recorded on my Facebook timeline and show up in my friends too, if I liked it they may be curious to click through and see what it is, I’ve done that before, have you? We can all help each other out here so

  • Add your Facebook page URL to the Linky below, it will look like this https://www.facebook.com/BritMums
  • Like a few pages in the links for community spirit
  • If you have time leave a message on their page and get conversation started!

This is Back to Blogging week in a nutshell – make sure you don’t miss out and add your URL’s to all of our posts below

Monday – your blog URL

Tuesday – your Twitter URL

Wednesday – your Facebook page URL

Thursday – your Pinterest URL

Friday – your Google + profile

Great idea - I wasn't utilisting FB at all. Is it possible to like people straight back from your facebook page when they like you, and if so, how?

What a fantastic idea. I've just been revamping my blog and been off the radar for a couple of weeks. Now everything has calmed down I just sat and liked every single one above me, although some of the links were not there... Only took me 15 mins, lets hope everyone does the same ;-)
