We’re getting to the heart of it here on BMB. Why do you blog? What keeps you opening your dashboard and tapping away? There’s more to blogging than blogger events, products to review, advertising and monetising isn’t there? Or is there? What drives you to keep blogging amongst the sea of bloggers?
We will be starting a new WEEKLY feature on the BMB Blog called “WHY DO YOU BLOG?” We are inviting bloggers new and old to submit their answers to the following questions:
- What is your Blog Name/Url? (Twitter ID & Facebook Fan Page URL)
- What is your name/alias?
- How did you come up with your Blog Name?
- When did you start blogging?
- Why did you start blogging?
- Has blogging met your expectations so far?
- What has been your biggest challenge?
- Share with us your blogging HIGHLIGHT and LOWLIGHT.
- What do you hope to achieve through your blogging?
- What has been your favourite post and why?
In addition to your answers to the questions we would love to have a picture of you to feature on the post. If you are concerned about anonymity and do not wish to divulge your name/face, please submit either a picture from your blog, your blog header or your Twitter avatar.
Please submit your answers and images to Karin at cafebebeuk[at]hotmail[dot]com
We will feature one blogger a week on the BMB Blog so we’ll have an ongoing bank of bloggers and their responses to choose from. You will be notified in advance before it goes “live”.
Thank you, in advance, we look forward to learning more about you all!

An excellent idea for a feature, I'm always fascinated by the many reasons people decide to start blogging and to keep at it even when the going's not so grand. Will be sending you my replies soon. Gosh you must have loads of stuff to wade through, Karin!

Pippa- I hope this is a good thing...that we're not having a blogging crisis! I just think it's important that we get to the "heart" of why people blog. It's nice to know the motivation behind the blogger and get some insight into the blog as opposed to worrying about rankings and numbers. Vanessa- How BRILLIANT! I have visited your blog and we really love success stories like this...We'll be in touch! ;) Karin

I started to Blog because I set out on a mammoth task. I stopped work to write a recipe book and become a cookery writer. I thought if i blogged about it people could read about the adventure.. wether I succeed or fail - people would know I did my very best. Book is out in May. Prepped.

I was asked this by someone else the other day and talked about it last night on my youtube account! Seems we are all thinking about why we blog at the minute.
