Style Round-up: Fashion knows no age

styleFashion knows no age and that is why this month, our style round-up will be looking at fashion for all age groups. We’re starting with bumps and babies and will be slowly move onto mummies and even a blogging fashion model.

First up, we’ve got Jennie from Edspire who is dressing her beautiful growing bump in a gorgeous Stella Dress from Babes with Babies. Finding the ultimate maternity and nursing dress is not easy, but Jennie seems to have found the perfect combination of comfort and style. Pop over and have a look!

Alex from Medicated Follower of Fashion is showing off some amazing fashion finds for her boys and the best thing is, they cost her 99p or less. Colourful, stylish and from the charity shop – if you like a bargain, check out Alex’s Trendy Thursday.

Charity shops are great to shop for little ones, especially as babies never stay in the same size for very long. I still remember sorting out Amy’s wardrobe after she had grown out of her first size. It was quite an emotional experience. Lauren from Belle du Brighton got equally upset when baby Athena outgrew her size 9-12 and moved into the next size up. In How Can Clothes Make Me So Sad, she says goodbye to the baby outfits and discovers an entire new wardrobe for her little girl.

Emma from Emma and 3 has also blogged about a new addition to her daughter’s wardrobe. In her Wednesday Wardrobe, her gorgeous little girl Erin models a beautiful traditional nightgown from Nibs and reminds me of a the nightgowns that I wore when I was little – ehm 10 years ago!

Ten years ago, I might have also been able to pull off the moves that Zarouhi from Mama and More shows us in her post From Style Shot to Yoga. I adore her outfit as it looks so casual and comfy. Perfect for some weekend fun, if you ask me.

Another great weekend outfit comes from Emily who blogs at A Mummy Too and shows us that practicality doesn’t mean that you have to compromise on style. In What I Wore, Emily dresses from head to toe in one brand and spends only a little over £100 for an entire outfit.

Sharon from Thrift My Style completely blew me away with her gorgeous summer outfit. I’m a big fan of lace and denim and Sharon managed to pull together a beautiful daytime look for just £9.50 and an old piece from her wardrobe. It doesn’t get any thriftier, does it?

The perfect bikini might not be that affordable, but I’m sure that once you’ve found it, you won’t want to miss it. Fashion and style blog I Won’t Wear Sludge Brown tells you exactly how to find the perfect bikini for your body shape. Check out her post, if you’re still on the hunt!

If you want to update your spring and summer wardrobe with a brightly coloured cardigan for those chilli mornings and nights, then Katy from Modern Mummy has the blog perfect blog post for you to read. Katy pairs a mustard yellow cardi with a blue and white polka dot skirt from Cath Kidston and creates a stylish and comfortable summer look.

Another amazing colour for spring and summer is minty lime. It might sound a little scary, but Liza from Glambeautys shows you exactly how to wear it. I really love the look she’s created on her blog. It looks well put together and effortless at the same time. Also make sure to check out Liza’s YouTube channel. I’m a little obsessed with it!

We’ve almost reached the end of this month’s style-round up now, but before you can return to work, chores or nappy changing, I would like us all to give a big round of applause to Vicki from Mummy’s Got Style. Vicki has recently modelled for luxury designer baby bag company Nova Harley and doesn’t she look amazing. Well done, Vicki!

Always interesting to see how people deal with dressing in pregnancy. I enjoyed the challenge but did not anticipate the prohibitive size my boobs grew too in the first three months – ruled out empire lines entirely!
