Beauty Round-Up: Natural Beauty

Beauty Round-Up: Natural Beauty

beauty roundup blog postsSo long the days of strident make-up! Natural is the way forward. In my teenage and university years I had my share of bright blue around the eyes and black lipstick, Now since I become a mother I prefer nude colours around my eyes , no lipstick on the lips or just a nude gloss is just what I need.

Watching the Oscars this year looks like even the actresses have the same premise. Cate Blanchett , Angelina Jolie, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner all chose the flawless, healthy skin and a touch of gloss on the lips.

Our own british blogger Kerry from Lived with Love is giving us an introduction into the Clinique Spring Staples. Coral/orange and big lashes seems to be what she is betting on this spring.

Subtle beauty is what works this spring!

But natural is not only about make-up. This spring there is a lot of chat about natural body looks and what natural creams and lotions you can choose instead of the shop bought ones. On my Gold Sprinkles blog I talk a lot about the benefits of coconut oil and honey for example.

Already known for her love of everything natural Lisa Gusto introduce us to the secrets of home made nourishing rose cream. She shows it all in a video with very easy to follow steps. All the ingredients are natural so no nasty fillers are getting into your bloodstream.

On the same note of “do it yourself”, Becca from Keeping up with the Joneses gives us a step by step guide for nail art. So for all the mums that like having their nails done but they are just too busy to go to a nail art salon pop over Becca’s blog and see her guide. I am planning to do a bit of a nail art this Spring and maybe I will purchase a nail art pencil too as it seems that is very helpful.

But to keep our beauty we need tools too! On the Countrywives blog, Annabel introduce us with a tool called Faciallift. Designed by Sarah Chapman, the Faciallift incorporates eight massage heads with 48 nodules that, when gently pulled across the face, reshape, refine, and tone the skin.  This description makes me think that this tool just brings to every user a facial massage heaven. Who wouldn’t want that?

Still talking about tools we are going now to Louise from Confessions of a Secret Shopper. She introduce us to Moxi brushes. Never heard of the brand before but Louise is very impressed with the brushes so it might be a brand I have to look at in the future.

To end I want to bring in your attention a post from Juggle Mum – My body is my sanctuary. This is something we all have to remind ourselves. Quite difficult when your life is split between nappies, cooking, cleaning and school runs but remember to take at least 10 minutes a day and value yourself. So use those exfoliators and face masks to create your own 10 minutes spa.

This is my first post for Britmums and I am over the moon that the chance to write here was offered to me. I hope you enjoyed reading it. If you write about beauty then feel free to drop me a line and introduce me to your blog.

Wishing you all a relaxed and happy Spring!
