The summer is almost over, and I hope you have been enjoying the summer holidays so far, and that you have managed to read many blog posts and also reviews. I have spent last 3 weeks in the Czech Republic with my family and friends, and we have had a fabulous time together and have to say the weather has been fantastic too. Thanks to my parents help, I had much more time to browse through quite a few review posts, and here are my favourites for this month. Enjoy reading them, and don’t forget to e-mail me allbabyadvice@yahoo.co.uk your review posts for next month and link them here too!
Trevella Park Camping
This month I would like to share my review of our first “family of 4” holidays, which we spent at Trevella Park. We had loads of fun, and despite my original concerns that going camping with a 4 month old baby maybe wasn’t the best idea, we loved it and am sure we will be back again in the future!
Water Births
Today I am going to start with a not so typical review, but am including it here as I enjoyed reading it and believe that many people could learn from Baby-A water birth experience. Not only she was describing what usually goes on at the hospital, but also how and why she decided for this option. As you may know, I have two daughters, and both of them were born in water. For me it was the only way and I was hoping for water births from the beginning. Luckily there were no reasons not to give birth in water at both times. If you are thinking about it, this can definitely give you a clear idea of what to expect!
Face creams and goodbye to wrinkles
We all are getting older and although I don’t like admitting it, even I have more wrinkles. If you know me, then you know I laugh a lot, which means I have quite a few laughter lines, and I’m starting to get concerned about these. Mari from Mari’s World has just finished testing Avon Anew Pro Line Corrector treatment and swears by it. This is going to be on my Christmas list!
Nappy changing bags
Making It Up reveals what she thought about her new Okiedog Urban sphinx nappy changing bag. Not only do I love the look of this gorgeous bag, which by the way doesn’t look like a changing bag at all, but mostly I was interested in how the clipix system works. According to the review, the clipix fastens around your buggy with a Velcro system and using different clips and accessories you attach the bag to your buggy. Daddacool was also showing off his new Okiedog loft paige changing bag, and according to him this is “a bag that was made with the Dad in mind”!
Swimming costumes
And as it is summer I have included Mummy’s Little Monkey’s Simply Swim review. I loved her choice of the black Speedo swimsuit and teaching us all what “cozzie” means (nothing new to me as I spent a few years living in Sydney). Shame she wasn’t brave enough to show us a picture of herself in her new swimsuit, but her little daughter looked absolutely stunning in hers.
Irons and ironing
When I met daddy ….. years ago, he used to iron his shirts, and never wanted me to do any ironing for him. To be honest I don’t mind doing so, and it might sound crazy, but I use this activity to kind of relax. I know, very bizarre. If you like ironing like I do, then you need to read Mummy-tips Philips Perfectcare Silence review! The iron looks amazing, and it only reminds me that the one we have should be replaced soon, as the limescale keeps on coming out when I use the steam on full power, and leaves behind not nice marks on daddy’s work shirts.
Swimming and Paddlepaks
If your children love water and swimming like mine do, then Paddlepaks are a huge hit this summer. Our Isabelle was sent one a few months ago, and she loves putting all her swimming gear in it. Being a mummy also thinks it is a great product to have. I loved the new designs her children had received, and my only wish is that Trunki make an adult version so I could take it along when going swimming too.
Top Tips for Christmas
You might think that Christmas is just too far away, but the next few months will fly by and we all will be thinking about what to get for our loved ones this Christmas. Actually Mummy has suggested what her top tips for this Christmas are and also wasn’t shy to reveal what she would like to get from Father Christmas. That’s what I call “a clever girl”.
Teething bling
If your little one is teething or will soon be like our Olivia, then you might like to read what The Milkshake Mummy thinks about the teething bling. I definitely need one of these, as I can still remember how poorly our first born daughter was when teething and have a feeling Olivia might be going through the same soon…
Paper craft for children
My last mention belongs to Rosie Scribble’s Paper FX crafty review. This looks really cool and I can imagine Isabelle would love using it, but she will have to wait as she is only 5 years and as Rosie has suggested she had to help her 9 year old daughter too.
I hope you have enjoyed my Britmums Reviews Round-up, and if you would like me to read your review and maybe mention it in the next one, why don’t you add your link below, email me allbabyadvice@yahoo.co.uk or tweet me at @Kahanka.
