Our Style Round-up Editor Chelle McCann has BritMums Live all planned out! Here she shares her top newbie picks for this year’s #BML16…

So you’ve taken the plunge and started a blog but where do you want to head to next? Well of course you’ve purchased your ticket to BritMums Live and you want to make the most of the day and absorb as much as you can.

But before you come along don’t forget to have a look at the schedule and find what will make the  most impact on your online space and your own creativity. I’ve put together a few sessions you won’t want to miss as a newbie blogger.

For the first break out session it has to be Understanding SEO which for a new blogger can be so confusing. Having someone helping to explain what SEO is, why you need it and how to do it could be a game changer for your blog. I’d also consider Finding Your Voice as it  can be hard to carve a distinctive voice in blogging.

If you fancy venturing into Vlogging then you’ll find me at the YouTube session. I’ve been blogging for nearly 7 years now and still feel uncomfortable in front of a camera. But with my blog starting to become less about the kids and more about me it’s time to put my brave face on!

For the third selection of break out panels I’m going to say  you have to attend Up Your Game: How to work smart with PRs. This panel session answers all the questions newbie bloggers ask those that are more established. I think this is the perfect session for those interested in product reviewing but if thats not your bag then Sketchbook Club at #BML16 could see you becoming the next Hurrah for Gin. Who doesn’t love a bit of a doodle!

Finally I love instagram and if you do too then this session  – Instagram: Gain followers, style pics & get expert tips – it has one of my favourite instagrammers Ali heading up the panel and if you aspire to have a feed like hers then this is a must.

Of course make sure you leave time to socialise. For me that element of BritMums is the most important. Go and seek out your favourite bloggers, say “Hi” and make new friends. I can’t wait to see you there!
