…and so our very first half term draws to an end and it has flown by. I wish sometimes I could just stop time and squeeze out even more as it seems the whole week has disappeared and left me with a huge mess to clear up, a pile of ironing that needs doing and so many more projects I wanted to do with the girls.
Do I set myself too many projects or am I bad at managing my time with them? Whatever the answer we have had one hell of a week and my blog Mari’s World took a back seat for once.
In fact I liked it.
I stepped back from Twitter, I stepped back from blogging and I heard myself wonder if maybe I would step back a little more often in the future? I actually pondered the idea of ‘What would life be like if I didn’t blog anymore? Shock horror! For almost three years now blogging has been my life, in every area of my life I have seen a blog post, I have improved my photography, I have met some brilliant minds and I have put myself to some amazing creative tests. I love blogging but is there another route for me just down the road? I wonder.
I read a very interesting post by an American blogger recently who interviewed a blogger who had decided to stop blogging. When I read that post about a month or two ago, I could never think of stopping, I was so driven and then I heard that Him Up North a while back had taken the same decision. Now he was a very popular British blogger and incredibly active on all social media platforms and he self imposed a stop.
Could you do it? Will I do it? Could I even try?
I’m not sure where I am right now but I think like every other area of life my blogging is under constant review, the question ‘Where am I going with this?’ and the ‘What do I want from this?’ crop up time after time and one thing I have found is blogging is very time consuming.
Where are you right now with your blogging?

I've just added my post on 'Informing your daughter of womanly things'. Then I really enjoyed reading a few of the other linkys. Does this happen every week - I've not come across it before? I identified with your experience of slowing down and liking how it changed my drive and thinking. It happened for me over the summer - and I allowed my children to get bored too - it was quite revealing.

Yes Kim, it's a weekly Linky where I invite bloggers to choose their favourite post from the past week and join up with us creating a great weekend (and more) read for the BritMums community. I agree the slowing down allows more thought and attention to all parts of life be it the children and the blog too, an interesting path

Hope you like this one - it was one of the first blogs I ever wrote about my family, around 9 years ago. The vision of hell that's a family changing room at the local swimming pool...
