Miscarriage, as many women and families know, can be devastating. The Landmark Half Marathon aims to support a charity to help those affected by miscarriage. It’s an issue that needs focus: Recent research, supported by Tommy’s and published in The Lancet shows that miscarriage should not be brushed aside. Five years of study has shown that miscarriage “isn’t just one of those things” that can happen with pregnancy and should be brushed aside. It’s detrimental to mental and physical health. Some groups, including Black women, are at much higher risk of miscarriage (40%) than white women. Read the highlights of that report here.

Miscarriage and Tommy’s

About the London Landmarks Half Marathon

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a 100% not-for-profit event organised by baby charity Tommy’s, which in just three years has raised £17 million for charity. Tommy’s spent two and a half years developing the event to benefit the entire charity sector. With their offices based in the heart of the City, Tommy’s noticed a gap in the market, realising a central London half marathon taking in the City and all of the Capital’s landmarks did not exist. Tommy’s therefore took the decision to organise the London Landmarks Half Marathon to benefit both themselves, and many other charities too.
