On Sunday morning I woke up to a glorious day. I spent most of it watching the updates about the London Marathon with both my girls. It was so emotional for me, and honestly has been every year since I ran it back in 2011.

I always cry and feel so proud of all the people who take part in this very inspirational race.

I was amazed at how both my girls really enjoyed watching all the updates with me. Then I suggested we should definitely come and cheer next year. That is if I do not get a place! I have also decided to try my luck and will register to get a place for 2018 London Marathon!

Running my first marathon in London was an unforgettable experience, and would love to experience the atmosphere again.

It is undoubtedly a tough challenge, which involves lots of training, tears, and pain. On the other hand it did open a door to another level of my life. I love pushing my boundaries, and running marathons is something I cannot imagine my life without.

Today I would like to celebrate all the people who love running and to the ones who took part in London Marathon.

Lots of inspiration on the Too Fat to Run site, and also on what’s it like to be cheering along the runners of the London Marathon.

Recovery after running a marathon is so important, so please have a read of Helen’s post on Where to eat after the London Marathon.

The running princess also mentioned the Importance of Recovery in her week in review post.

Loved the very colourful photos from the Happiest 5km on the Planet!

Have you been inspired to run another and another race? Read this post on Planning Your Race Calendar.

All runners know how important right footwear and foot care is, and if you don’t then please read Mummy Fever‘s post on this topic.

Lots and lots of inspiration in all the above, isn’t there? If you ran the London Marathon and blogged about it, please leave a comment below, would love to read about it!
