I woke this morning thinking, “Wow, BritMums Live is tomorrow. TOMORROW!” And I have a long list of jobs to get through, but I am so pumped and excited to meet the loads of bloggers I’ve been working with through this past year, so thrilled to be working with BritMums on the biggest blog event of the year and really very, VERY excuted for the BiBs, my special project, that I know I will fly through that long list of jobs.
And I have some final tips and bits of info for the conference generally I thought you’d like to have, so here they are:
1. Google + workshop and hangout!
On Saturday afternoon in th Workshop III session, we have a workshop titled: The Bloggers Guide to Google+, a popular choice by many chatting about it on Twitter. Have a look at the three masterclass posts on G+ to help you be even more prepared for the workshop!
Google Hangout – for those of you who can’t make it to BritMums Live!
2. Nervous? No need to be with the Butterflies!
Meet the BritMums Butterflies, the lovely bloggers who will be waiting at registration to meet anyone who needs a friend–click on this link to hear them talk about it! BritMums Butterflies
3. Top Tip: Don’t lose your BritMums Live name badges!
Keep your badge for Saturday–it’s your admission ticket! And you’ll need your badge to exchange for the AMAZINGLY huge BritMums Live party bag. We’re not giving them out in advance because you won’t want to carry around such a heavy bag!
4. Win a bottle of Prosecco Friday night at the Brilliance in Blogging Awards party!
Several competitions are running throughout the conference, including one with Radcliffe wines. They are giving away a bottle of Prosecco every 10 mn to the best tweet with the hashtag #winebuffs between 6-7PM at the Brilliance in Blogging party! (Just a little teaser: #winebuffs has more than one meaning in this instance…you’ll see why!)
5. No need for suitcase hassle!
You can check your suitcases in the coat check at the brewery OR many hotels will let you leave suitcases in a secure place before check in time–but please note, both option are at your own risk.
6. Share your BritMums Live posts!
The BritMums Blog will post a linky on Friday for you to share your BritMums Live posts.
7. Meet Ruby Wax and get a signed copy of her book!
Ruby Wax, one of our Friday speakers, will be signing copies of her book at the Waterstones stand during the 16.25 coffee break on Friday afternoon.
8. Waterstones will have a stall selling books by bloggers and BritMumsLive speakers
Bring your money, and don’t forget you will have the opportunity to chat with many of these authors. There may be more added to this list on the day.
