Education round up - Nativity costumes, silly season and teaching kids to fail

So did we all survive the holidays? Have you finally managed to get the last of the glitter out of the carpet? How are the new years resolutions going? ok – I won’t ask!

Here we are, everyone is back at school and work, and a reason level of normality is restored. But before we go too far into the new year a little peek back to the chaos that was the Christmas term and the joy that was the nativity play. Dadukblog gives us a beautiful insight into costume making, Life as a widower shares his thoughts over his sons preschool production and Mama Mummy Mum asks a question that many of us have pondered over the years.

The new year brings about new beginnings and new plans, which appear to result in the ‘education silly season’ according to Jobbing teacher certainly cause for thought amongst parents.

And finally I’ll leave you with a question which has certainly made my grey matter start whirring, should we teach our children how to fail? Not a Frumpy Mummy thinks we should discuss the question and her post makes for interesting reading!
