Huffington Post, Net-a-Porter, Flickr…and BritMums. I’m delighted to announce that my BritMums co-founder Susanna Scott is listed as one of the most inspiring female online entrepreneuers, along with Arianna Huffington, Natalie Massenet, Martha Lane Fox and six other visionary women! It’s thrilling that Susanna and BritMums are in such hallowed company and completely unexpected (read about how Susanna found out on her blog A Modern Mother). Yet some of us who work with her aren’t so surprised.

I met Susanna several years ago when I was at The Times, writing an article about mum blogging. She’d just started the network and there were only a handful of us blogging. It’s testament both to Susanna’s drive and passion for blogging as well as this awesome community and its commitment to creativity, mutual support and innovation that since then we’ve grown up into BritMums, the UK’s most influential parent blogging network. As a community we influence the discussion about parenthood and blogging, we have a shiny, newly updated network platform and there’s our unmissable two-day real-world event next June – BritMums Live!

“The British parent blogging community has grown and grown over the past few years,” Susanna says. “I’m pleased to be associated with such innovative opinion makers that are leading the online conversation.”

For bloggers who want to stay on top of what’s going on in the blogging world, meet other parent bloggers and make their blog be everything it can be, the BritMums network, blog and event are vital partners in the process. If you haven’t already, join us!
