I have been bringing you the BritMums Blogger of the Week for nearly a year now! How time flies when you’re recognising brilliant people. Thanks to the impending arrival of Bebe, this week will be the last week I bring you the Blogger of the Week. I’ll be announcing my replacement for this feature very soon (you’ll be very pleased to see who is taking the reins from me). In the meantime, I’m going to bring you my final selection…a blogger who’s been on the scene for some time and doesn’t wear the “traditional” mummy blogger title but brings ever so much to the table with her exceptionally well written, informative and helpful posts. I give you…
Michelle Garrett of The American Resident (no, I’m not showing national bias in my selection!)!
Michelle writes a lovely blog with a primary focus on expat advice. Having been a resident in the UK for over 20 years now, she’s got a lot to offer expats but she also shares some wonderful posts, fantastic snack recipes and very thoughtful posts about blogging. In addition to her usual delights, this month Michelle is taking part in NaBloPoMo along with around 60 other BritMums members so we get to look forward to 30 posts from Michelle!
Last week I stumbled upon Michelle’s Snickerdoodles cookie recipe and felt compelled to make them because the picture on the blog looked so tempting. YOU MUST MAKE THEM! They’re GORGEOUS! Actually, you’ve just got to peruse the whole of The American Resident’s food category…truly wonderful recipes (and blasts from my past). And if you’re looking for some great blogging advice, check out the Blogging category on The American Resident. Outstandingly well-thought out advice for any level of blogger.
Add The American Resident to your reading rota and follow @Michelloui on Twitter. You won’t regret it!
Next week: our newest member of the BritMums Blog team will bring you the BritMums Blogger of the Week. In the meantime, just keep BLOGGING!
