Well, like it or not, Christmas is only just over a month away so it’s time to break out the craft box and start making festive treats.
Last year I made Edible Reindeer Poop as class gifts for my daughter’s school mates, and this year I’m planning on doing sparkly reindeer food to sprinkle on the lawn.
But that’s as far as I’ve got so far, but there’s lots of inspiration around for simple crafts that the kids can get involved with too.
I love these Snowman Biscuits that Mummy Mishaps has created. Using ready made biscuits these are quick and easy to decorate and look so cute -they’d be great for school fetes too I think.
Speaking of snowmen, Kids Chaos is hosting this month’s Get Your Craft On linky and is asking for any snowman related crafts to be linked up. There’s a whole host of inspiration already there, so pop over and be inspired.
Now is a good time to start making cards to send out to our special people and I love these washi tape Christmas tree cards by Mum at the Madhouse.
Being Mrs C also puts washi tape to great use making some simple but elegant gift tags.
More cards and some matching wrapping paper has been cleverly created by Stressy Mummy. Very clever use of bubble wrap to make stampers that even the youngest of children could use to create their own designs.
I adore the simplicity and beautiful photography of The Real Housewife of Suffolk County‘s post, painted pinecones. What could be more christmassy?
If you’re looking for some recycling crafts, Pink Oddy has a whole host of festive loo roll characters, from robins to elves to snowmen.
If you’re more of a craft kit person, then Bug, Bird Bee has been testing out some Christmas Hama kits – I’m very impressed with these, speaking as someone who’s daughter has just ‘discovered’ Hama beads, I think we’ll have to give these a try.
