5 Eid craft projects to try at home

Hello and welcome to this month’s craft round up! Last month we celebrated Easter Crafts. Thus with Eid approaching I thought it would be a great idea to look at some beautiful Eid craft projects to make as gifts and decorations for the celebrations.

We may not all celebrate Eid, however it’s great to not only have a little knowledge about the celebrations but also have a few Ramadan and Eid crafts up our sleeves to make with our children, or as gifts for friends who do celebrate. Therefore I have found some beautiful projects for crafters all levels.

Eid Craft Projects To Try At Home

Moon Sighting Binoculars Are A Great Eid Craft Project To Try With Younger Children.

These adorable moon sighting binoculars have been created by Hello Holy Days. They are designed to spot the crescent moon for Ramadan, then also again at the end of Ramadan to spot the crescent moon of Eid Al-Fitr.

Eid Crafts for families

This Ramadan Moon And Stars Mobile Is A Wonderfully Creative Eid Craft

I adore the paint technique Nurture Store used on the gorgeous mobile. It’s such a great creative craft to create with children of all ages, yet so simple and also very effective.

The sighting of the crescent moon is significant as it marks the end of fasting and the start of the celebration of Eid-al-Fitr. This is a lovely craft to celebrate that, but also to learn the story of Eid along the way.

Crescent Moon Mandala For Scrapbooking

Donna from Like Love Do has created this gorgeous moon and stars Mandala which is perfect for scrapbooking and recording memories of Eid celebrations. But also great for making home made cards and Eid craft projects with kids, such as colouring and stamping.

Talking Of Mandalas… I have Created This 3D Mandala

This is more complicated Eid Craft which can be cut out by hand or with a cutting machine. My 3d Mandala represents a mosque as the sun is setting and the crescent moon appears. This is great for framing in a shadow box and giving to a friend celebrating Eid.

This Gorgeous Eid Embroidery Hoop Will Make A Wonderful Gift

Created by Lorraine at Fifty Something Crafts this mandala embroidery hoop is the perfect Eid decoration and an ideal gift for friends celebrating. The choice of colours is stunning and Lorraine has also included brief instructions in case you want to create your own.

And that’s it, enjoy your Eid celebrations, Eid Mubarak, and if you do plan to try any of these craft projects then happy crafting.

Next month we will be sharing all things floral and crafts with flowers. Whether is real flowers or paper flowers we would love to see your crafts.
