What’s so great about blogging awards?

Brilliance in Blogging awardBlogging awards are a great way to discover new blogs you haven’t come across before as well as a great way to let the world know about the fantastic bloggers we already know about.

Major blogging awards such as the Brilliance in Blogging Awards (BiBs) are an excellent tool for increasing awareness of blogging, bringing this creative form into the mainstream.

The benefits of bringing parent blogging into the mainstream include more opportunities for parent bloggers who would like to monestise their blogs or use their blogs to promote their products (such as books or tutorials), or simply making it easier to justify the time we spend on the blog to those around us! 😉

And above all else, the awards are a fantastic way for readers and other bloggers to show recognition and appreciation of effort and talent.

Ready to vote? The time is now!

Have you voted for your favourite bloggers on the Brilliance in Blogging shortlist yet? Do you still need to have a click through the shortlisted blogs to find your favourites?

Blog awards as reading lists

Don’t forget to use these excellent shortlists as potential reading lists–you may see old favourites on the lists and immediately know who you want to vote for, but after you vote go back and discover some new reading! And don’t forget to check out the reading list of 2011 Brilliance in Blogging Award winners.

Voting closes on 30th April 2012 at 17:00 GMT and the finalists of each category will be announced shortly after.
