Video Round-up: Goals, travel & special moments

Hi and welcome back to the video round up where we share the best from the vlogging world over the last month. I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year, I’m excited to share lots of January videos! I have been having a bit of time out for the last few weeks as I try to recuperate from the madness of christmas! My recent video is from a course I have recently embarked upon where we film mini movies of our lives, and this one depicts a day spent with my three year old. I found filming just the mundane elements of our day actually made me look at things from a different perspective, and I’m looking forward to learning more as course progresses.

Jane at Practically Perfect Mums has been doing a little travelling this month with her review of the Moorland Gardens Hotel near Plymouth. It really looks like a beautiful place to stay whilst you explore the South coast. Meanwhile Kate from Wit Wit Woo has been enjoying a day trip to Whitstable, which looks like a lovely little seaside complete with beach houses and oysters! Kara from Chelsea Mamma and her family have challenged themselves to visit every beach in Dorset, and so far are up to nine. The latest in their discoveries is Ringstead Beach and here she shares some of their time on the lovely pebble-lined beach, albeit in woolly hats and scarves! Jenny from Lets Talk Mommy has put together the sixth instalment of her expat life, where she discusses life as an expat in the UK and how she and her husband found the whole experience.

With the arrival of 2016 lots of us are putting together our list of resolutions, goals and hopes for the next twelve months. Here Brummy Mummy of 2 is sharing her goals for the new year, as she declares 2016 the year of adventure! Jules Furness has set herself 35 things to do before she turns 35, which includes climbing a tree, attending a buddhist meeting and writing a book – go Jules!

Many families are now sharing week and weekend videos as they record those special memories of their children growing up. Sian at Helpful Mum shares a week in her life where she resides in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales with her family. It must be so nice to have all that open space right on your doorstep, and I do like the log fire available when they return home! Sarah from This Mama Life has shared her Weekend Vlog following her little family as they go about their lives, including a very sweet moment of her daughter and friend.

Many of us are aware what a difficult January this month has already been for families all over the world, and this has not bypassed the blog and vlog worlds. The Cowley family are one such family, as last year Chris was diagnosed with a very rare form of bone cancer and is now going through chemotherapy. Chris and Becky have bravely decided to share their journey with the world in the hope of gaining support and helping others going through a similar experience, and I’m sure many of you will join me in wishing Chris all the best.

One channel that you need to be subscribing to this month is Victoria Welton’s. As she embarks on her journey trying for a baby, she bravely shares with you the ups and downs of this difficult time. This first video was filmed last September and is extremely moving to watch as Vic explains her story thus far.
