Travel Round-up: Greek Odyssey

At the beginning of the summer, the economic crisis in Greece certainly caused tourists to waver with regard to booking a holiday there. A good friend of mine, Sally, has owned a villa in the resort of Stoupa, Greece, for many years. With her usual wry humour, on arrival at her holiday home this summer, she announced to everyone on Facebook that all was well in paradise.

I asked her to write about her observations for my blog and she produced a very entertaining account here: A message from Greece – what can tourists really expect?

Greece is facing even more difficulties with the refugee crisis but as it depends so much on tourism, it’s encouraging to read these posts to be reassured that the Greece we know and love is still as beautiful as ever.
