For happy and healthy kids, just add water.
Like flowers, children flourish when they’re properly hydrated and tend to wilt and fade when they’re not. But as many of us know, getting kids to drink their recommended daily intake of H2O isn’t always that simple.
BritMums recently teamed with Highland Spring to talk about#TermTimeEssentials and the importance of hydration for kids.
We asked BritMums bloggers, for their tips for getting their kids to drink up.
We loved My Fussy Eater’s suggestion of using bright cups and silly straws to make drinking water more enticing. Mummy Mishaps‘s trick of using fun Lego-shaped ice cubes to brighten up the hydration experience was spot-on too.
North East Family Fun made us laugh out loud with her cute and novel way to prompt her kids to take their water bottles out of their school bags every day by writing a joke on the side. Genius!

Everyone agreed that the key to keeping children hydrated is to make drinking water part of their daily routine. Oh So Amelia wisely suggests always keeping a bottle or two of water with a sports cap in the car for emergencies. And perhaps the most sage advice came from Lilinha Angel’s World – to be a role model and lead by example.

As you can see, staying hydrated is easy and it’s even nicer when you know that the natural water in Highland Spring comes from Scotland’s beautiful Ochil Hills.
