Style round-up: Summer Wardrobe ready?

Style round-up: Summer Wardrobe ready?

style roundupPolka dot umbrella just in case.

We have been having some funny old weather over the last few weeks. I had packed my winter clothes away as it was hot, then it turns cold again. Not to mention the thunder, lightning and torrential rain we had earlier this week. Eek, I still like to hide under the bed covers when it thunders. It was no fun being caught out 6 miles from home on lonely roads with only trees surrounding you when we had an almighty storm on Monday. Now it is hot again!

I have eventually sorted out my summer wardrobe. I normally never throw anything away, Do you? I managed to clear 2 bags out for the charity shop. Finally sorted my wardrobe and now have a lovely big pile in the bedroom, waiting to be upcycled and restyled. My new hobby, recycling old clothes to make something new and unique. I have lots of plans but finding time to create things is a struggle.

What style blogs have you been enjoying reading over the last few weeks? Here are a few of my favourites outfit posts.

1.) Debbie from Fashion Fairy Dust wears her shorts for school. She will always remember this outfit as a day that changed her look on life. She tells a Life Altering Story of a boy who was choking, thankfully this story has a happy ending.

2.) Avril from School Gate Style shares her NYC Style as she took a trip to New York with 65 of her choir friends. With it being a singing trip she has taken lots of black outfits to wear when performing. I am loving this Wallis jumpsuit she wore. It reminds me of one I had a few years ago, mine was very wide on the legs though. Maybe if I had this style I would not have fallen down lots of stairs on a night out!?!

3.) Did I mention jumpsuits? I am also loving this one over at Monica’s blog GlamVolution. She shares her future daughter in-law Rebecca’s style in this Hepburn-inspired jumpsuit from Francesca’s.

4.) Fritha from Tigerlilly Quinn take a nice early morning stroll through Regents Park when her toddler wakes her up at 6am. I am loving the 2 toned pastel colour look, teamed up with a fabulous watermelon necklace.

5.) I have a lot of things in common with Mama Syder .We both love clothes, charity shops, bargains and recycling. I love bleaching old jeans. She shares an amazing Bleach Your Jeans makeover of her daughters jeans. I have a few pairs of old jeans, that totally need this makeover.
