Style Round-up: Fashion Week Street Style

style round-up postsI love fashion week style – I know it can be totally crazy at times…it’s a competitive business getting your face onto one of the street style galleries remember! So it’s not the way-out stuff I love – it’s what the fashion editors and the bloggers wear – the practical interpretation of what’s on the catwalks, created in many cases with budget items from the high street. So this month’s round-up is a visual treat from London Fashion Week – but I’m only sharing those styles that I really think could work for fashion conscious mums out there – stuff you could get away with on the school run with a bit of attitude!

Jeans guru, Donna Aida, attended at Paris and I love her outfit. Gorgeous jeans (of course!), a stunning print blouse and a fab contrasting cape. A look that’s easy to replicate…edgy but flattering and in this photo, you’ll see why I always say the first step to looking more stylish is a great blow-dry….her flawless hair just gives it such a groomed look.

Some of the street style Natalie from Glamrosie photographed at Fashion Week has to be seen to be believed but if you scroll right down to the end, you’ll see that it’s possible to go along and look gorgeous and stylish and normal! I’m a big fan of Natalie’s boots – I have them in navy and wish I got them in this colour too!

Marlene just totally rocks her look on her trip to the London Fashion Week – I love this busy mum’s school gate style. She shops smart and it shows and she’s proof that accessories do really make your look. If you’ve been hesitant to wear a trilby on the school run, her blog will show you how to do it!

Marlene Chocolate Cookie

I’ve featured Lella Victoria before on my round up and on the link below, you’ll see her selection of LFW outfits – she has amazing style but the outfit that caught my eye from her blog is of an Italian blogger called Giia…what a stunning coat and amazing shoes. I love how some Italian women have such effortless style.

Lella Victoria Giia

A younger blogger now – Elle Yeah – who wore this outfit to Day 1 of fashion week. It’s a super cute outfit but easily replicated as it involves black opaque tights…the saviour of older legs! Cute skirt, boots and some fab accessorising and you’re good to go. I said on last month’s Round-up how much I watch the younger bloggers for inspiration and this look is one that could really work for a busy mum.

Elle Yeah

And finishing with another young blogger – Fashion Slave – who shares all her LFW outfits on this one post. I particularly loved her monochrome look (with a hat!) – another very easy to replicate outfit and like Elle Yeah, she’s working a brilliant statement skirt in her outfits too – another great way to add colour and interest to your wardrobe.

Fashion Slave

Lots of food for thought….says she dressed purely for warmth and not fashion today as I try my best to NOT turn on the heating! See you all next month…have a great half-term break! x
