We have an active community on Instagram called #SnapHappyBritMums and we’d love to see you there! Anyone can join in with the snap happy fun – all you need to do is see which of our monthly photo prompts relate to today’s date and take a photo to reflect that, tagging us in! You do this by adding the hashtag #snaphappybritmums to your photo and you can also insert @BritMums too!
Each month we feature selected incredible shots that meet the challenge of the day’s photo prompt and that are tagged #snaphappybritmums on our Instagram account and during the month we will highlight our favourites on the BritMums blog. It might be an active community where people hashtag but there is very little interaction from BritMums in the pictures posted. I’ve taken part every day for 3 years and other than when you had instagress there’s been no response from you at all.

Whilst you may feel that there is little interaction actually on Instagram, we have taken our interaction off Instagram and onto the website - spotlighting members of the community each month on BritMums.com and highlighting the community who joined in through our popular newsletter. We're always interested in hearing from the community and what you would like to see, so if you have any ideas on what kind of interaction you'd like to see or ideas in general to make things flow better, please do share them with us.

Hi! Is the idea that the picture should be a new one, taken on the day of the challenge, or can it just as well be a picture taken previously?

Hi Malin It can be a picture taken previously but when you upload it to Instagram, just use the #SnapHappyBritMums hashtag to allow our community to search the hashtag and find your picture!
