Shopping Hauls Round-up 610

The song California Dreaming by The Mamas and The Papas (All the leaves are brown….and the sky is grey) springs to mind at this time of year, as we change seasons.
The kids have settled back at school, the nights are starting to draw in – and we’ve got more grey skies than blue. But then again, that’s most days in England!
I’ve noticed there have been a few more haul blog posts and videos over the summer – probably helped by the fact that there has been a plethora of sales enticing people to part with their money. And so…I’ve got a great round-up of all sorts of shopping hauls this month!

Out and about

Kicking off and embracing the summer holidays before the kids went back was Laura from Musings of A Tired Mummy, who had the great idea of taking her kids to LEGOLAND Windsor.

Her little ones were treated to a mini haul in the LEGO shop which, being a fan of Lego myself, I’m quite envious about!

Vicki from Mummy T also planned on a trip with her kids – but to London! Before they left Vicki noticed her kids had had a growth spurt (they do that over the summer don’t they?), so she picked up some new clothes from NEXT.

I particularly dig the dinosaur t-shirt which would make a great gift for someone – and those floral wellies she got for little one were soooo cute!

Meanwhile, Pamela from Life With Munchers is a girl after my own heart and loves all things interior related.

Over the summer she visited a selection of her favourite shops including H&M, Rockett St George and Rose & Grey to check out their bargains, and she published a post that highlighted some of her favourite buys.

Moving on from the summer holidays and embracing the changing seasons (and the arrival of autumn) is Amy from Mama Mighalls, who created an autumn wishlist featuring some gorgeous clothes for her toddler – what a great idea.

Home and away

Helen from Fuss Free Flavours had a great idea to hop across the channel to do some French supermarket shopping and in her post she showcases her top buys and tips when shopping in France.

I personally love French lemon-scented soap – and every time I head to France I stock up on bottles and bottles of the stuff to use at home.

I often get asked by guests where I bought my soap as it smells so divine – and they’re often surprised to learn I pick it up in France.

The girls blogging at Fashion and Frappes also made the most of their travel plans over the summer by deciding to shop at Bangkok’s Duty Free – great idea! Bidisha picked up a whole range of fashion and beauty goodies.

Back on home soil and Laura from Musings of a Tired Mummy made the most of Tu’s 25% off sale in Sainsburys.

Amongst her buys were a unicorn headband for her daughter for £5 reduced to £3.25 in the sale; some shoes for her son, which were originally £13 and were half price in the sale reduced to £6.50 – and then were further reduced in the 25% off sale.

She also popped along to Primark and picked up a tunic style top for herself and some shoes – that she got for just £1 – that has to be the bargain of the year!

Cheap as chips

Both Lottie from A ChildMinding Mummy and Becky from 3 Princesses and 1 Dude showcased what they’d bought from with a try-on. The online store seems to be gaining popularity and I think it’s a great concept.

Talking of popular shops, Charlotte from Cups of Charlotte picked up a nice sales haul last month for her kids in Primark including a selection of dresses and t-shirts.

What I love about Primark – and most High Street shops in fact, is that you can pop in every week and see new items that grab your eye.

There’s always something new to see as well as new sale items on offer, although that’s not always a great thing for the bank balance!
