Review Round-Up: February fashion

Hello, and welcome to another Britmums review round-up! Hasn’t the weather just been so miserable lately? I hope you’ve all managed to stay safe and dry. To cheer up the grey days, I have compiled a collection of rather fabulous fashion reviews this month – enjoy!

One thing we are definitely in need of at this time of year is some winter boots. I am absolutely loving these black Chelsea boots from Clarks, reviewed by Wild and Grizzly – they are the sort of boots you could wear with pretty much anything – keeping your feet stylish and cosy at the same time. I also really, REALLY love these Cloggs boots that Mum in a Nutshell is modelling – the bright, vibrant colour is perfect for this time of year.

For the really wet days, a good pair of wellies is a wardrobe essential. I love these Aigle boots over on the The London Mum blog – not only do they look incredibly practical, but the fact that they make matching boots for parents and kids is a total winner for me – too cute!

As well as decent, weathertight boots, you will also need a waterproof coat if this weather continues! Cookies and Cwtches has been reviewing a Target Dry quilted coat which I love the look of – it looks as snuggly as a sleeping bag and I really like the fact it has some pretty feminine touches too – coats don’t have to be boring!

Something that always excited me is finding a brand new store to search for clothing inspiration – and Parenthood Highs and Lows has introduced me to Pink Clove. I love the selection of casual and dressy wear, and the fact that there is something to suit every style and shape.

I don’t know about you, but I really struggle to buy comfortable and classic clothing for the man in my life. Keep up with the Jones Family has a great review of the Salt Rock fleece zipped hoodie, which I am loving – it looks so practical for family days! They also have a fantastic range of womens and kids clothing – doesn’t that knitted cardigan look the bees knees?!

For anyone who is struggling to find gorgeous maternity wear, I would definitely recommend checking out the Tiffany Rose website. Hannah from Budding Smiles has been wearing their Rosa maternity dress and I love the way it looks – classic, flattering and perfect for any occasion! For those of you who are breastfeeding, check out the Milk and Mummy breastfeeding dress over at Life with Baby Kicks – ideal for discreet and easy feeding, while keeping you looking fabulous!

An outfit can be changed up so much with the right accessories, and I love this Outdoor and Country Fedora hat, reviewed by Pouting in Heels. I have never really taken the plunge hat wise, apart from a wooly number in winter, but this one looks so funky I might be tempted to branch out!

Californian Mum in London has been sharing her monochrome style which seems to be a huge trend at the moment – everywhere you look there is black and white! It’s such a simple but effective look, and one that I think will be around for a long time – so now is a great time to invest in a few key pieces.

If you have a budding dancer in the family you may be on the lookout for leotards and dancing shoes. Days in Bed has this covered with her review of a super pretty purple leotard and dance shoes. Ballet is a great exercise for both kids and adults, so if you are feeling a bit sluggish at the moment, maybe you could give it a go!

Let’s not forget the small people – they need kitting out too! I love this winter warmers review from Mrs Shilts – I am definitely going to invest in the fairisle sweater and fleecey pyjamas for my boys – they look super cosy and comfortable and would be ideal for winter dog walks and cosy film nights. For the little girls, I really love this Frugi Isla cord dress – it is my favourite outfit to pop on Eliza, and the long sleeves and soft, warm cord make it perfect for this changeable weather.
