#ReSPECKED: A little style and protection needed for BritMums Live!

Speck pink mini and flowered galaxy2I smile every time I speak with my Speck contact.

It’s all about style AND protection, she tells me.

She is talking of course about their gorgeous device cases, which come in just about every colour and pattern. They are durable and have saved my iPhone from #crackage and #shatterscreen at least 99 times. The last time being at BlogHer in San Jose when I was so excited to see Guy Kawasaki, my iPhone5 slipped put of my hand and onto the cement convention floor. There was a silence as I picked it up. Thankfully the glass screen wasn’t shattered. Why Apple continues to produce glass screens (and I continue to buy them) I do not know. But I was very happy to avoid a trip to the Apple store to repair it.

If you’ve been to BritMums Live, you’ll recognise the cases too, Speck kindly donated 500 to put in last year’s goody bags.

I had a chance to take a look at the latest line, and was duly impressed. It’s not just another pretty case you can pick up on the high street, but protective as well.

Here are some highlights:

>>The new CandyShell Amped Sound amplification case for iPhone 5/5s (available in John Lewis) will amplify your ring up, notification sounds, speakerphone conversations, etc, 2x – so you can hear it even if it’s buried deep in your bag or in another room. I tried it and it is indeed louder.

>>The ShowFolio Cases for iPad mini/Retina display turns the backseat of your car into an entertainment centre and fits easily with a hook onto the back of a head rest. After playing films on long trips, it converts back into a case. It’s pretty cool.

>>The CandyShell card case has an area to slip in up to three items, such as a credit card or rail pass. And they don’t fall out. I’ve tried it.

But what always wins me over is the style. They are gorgeous. And I really think that everyone at BritMums Live 2015 should try a case. Agreed? Let’s show them a little love:
