Post-40 Bloggers Round-up: If you read only one post…

Post40 bloggers round-upThe post I’ve chosen to highlight this month speaks to friendship and best friends. In response to our writing prompt to talk about a best friend, Lisa speaks openly about her challenges in that regard. The first paragraph of her reflection had me hooked. Lisa writes:

“I haven’t had what most of you would consider a best friend for several years now. Some days I miss that closeness of sharing laughter and tears with a special human being…some days I remember the betrayal of the last one and haven’t dared even try and make one since.”

Stirring words.

Lisa goes on to talk about her faithful friend ‘Stella’, her best friend since 2004 and how they both rescued each other.

Living through long-term illness, Lisa says of her blogging space “This blog is about my life and though it won’t always be fascinating or funny, it will always be honest.”

Her moving post ‘My Best Friend’, is as honest as it gets.
