I’m really thrilled to have been asked by Michelle to job share her monthly round ups for the Positively Inspirational Round-up’s. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading through so many inspirational posts over the past few months and I’m looking forward to my new role.
October seems to have all of a sudden crept up on me. It only seems like five minutes ago that I was out in the garden, enjoying the summer and then wham, autumn has landed. I’m not complaining I do enjoy all the seasons, and I do love the changing colours that Autumn delivers. Such a lovely time of year.
I’m kicking off this months round-up with the lovely Michelle. As you know she has recently made quite a few life changing decisions which involved moving her Family to live in a lovely community idyll. You can read all about how She is settling in and how much she is loving Living in community.
Michelle’s round-up last month was centered around marriage, and I am a sucker for a good love story so I had to include Franglais Mummy this month and her inspiring post, ‘What I’ve learnt from 10 years of marriage. Marriage isn’t always easy and it can be a real struggle sometimes to take a moment and appreciate it. I love Franglais Mummy’s top tips in this post, they are really positive.
Like I said, I’m a sucker for a good love story and I really enjoyed Oliver’s Madhouse post, ‘Back to the beginning’. Such a lovely story about how two teenage sweethearts met up again after 18 years, fell in love, had a Son and eloped to be married. Such a sweet story.
I always enjoy reading positive posts about partners, especially Daddy ones and Hollybobbs gorgeous post ‘Your Daddy’ literally made me say “Awww” out loud. A really fab tribute to Hollybobbs partner, and what a lovely Daddy he is.
Cupcake Mumma’s ‘A year in gifts’ is such a thoughtful and kind idea, as she makes up gorgeous surprise parcels for Friends and Family who are in need of a little ‘pick me up’. A very busy young Mum, she still makes the time each month to send loved ones a special gift to put a smile on their faces. I love this idea and I imagine her recipient’s are thrilled to find the postman at the door with a parcel from Hannah.
Save Every Step writes a beautiful, touching series all about her Uncle Joe. Every Friday she publishes Joe’s letters that he wrote home during his time in WWII and as you read more about Uncle Joe, you become more and more enchanted by him. I love this letter as Joe’s Mother writes to him regarding his recent news of an engagement.
Dragonfly Poppy has recently discovered that her Mum has Cancer. I felt warm tears sting my eyes as I read her very heartfelt post about feeling disconnected from the situation. I know lots of us have been in this very position ourselves before, and we know exactly how she is feeling right now, so please do pop over and wish her lots love, courage and strength over the coming months.
I really hope that you have enjoyed this months round-up. Michelle will be back next month and I’ll be here for Decembers round-up.
