Pinterest: Summer BBQ recipes & fun

Pinterest strategyMay saw us having two bank holiday weekends that was great for family time. The weather was pretty good for us so out came the BBQ. It got me thinking about different BBQ recipes that are away from the ordinary burgers and sausages. So I headed over to Pinterest to find Pins on BBQ food and other BBQ topics to help us enjoy our outside family time.

BBQ food

Katie from Mummy in a Tutu has this wonderful striking pin on 9 recipes for a vegetarian BBQ. It caught my eye being a meat eater, because I’m sure like many people think what can you BBQ for a vegetarian? BBQ’s are predominantly for cooking burgers and sausages. Katie has some wonderful recipes for things like lemon and mint marinated courgettes and a marinated Summer veg antipasti.

Wendy from Daisies & Pie has a yummy looking pin for her pineapple skewers with mint sugar. Which sounds like a lovely sweet alternative. Over on Kirsty’s pin from Winettes you are blown away by her exquisite photography skills for the ultimate zesty Summer quinoa salad.

BBQ fun

Have you ever thought about building your own BBQ? Well Erica from The Incidental Parent  bought one that had to be put together and it was testing to say the least! Her pin has an excellent tagline three wo(men) and a barbeque which makes it eye-catching and draws you in to click-through to the post.

I recently wrote a post about how to host the perfect Summer barbeque. Giving you hints and tips to keep all your guests entertained while also enjoying yourself. I always use my same brand colour background for the text on my pins and use white text to be more appealing. Consistency on designing your pins makes it easier for your pin to be recognised amongst others.

If you type in BBQ to the search bar on Pinterest you have various options on BBQ ideas, BBQ food and BBQ party ideas. On there are thousands of ideas and tips to give you inspiration for Summer BBQ fun with your family. Pinterest is a fantastic search engine so make sure your pin descriptions are spot on to help users find your pins to head over to your blog.
