Hello again.  Time for another look through some of the best pet-related posts I’ve read lately.

Tattooed Mummy finally wore the Mr down and they have got a new doggie – the lure of the pup is strong!  Meet Fizz, the Border Terrier in her post.

The saddest post I’ve read in a long time is Fi’s over at Childcare is Fun, as she writes about the final hours with Indie.  Such a heart-wrenching post and one that brought back a lot of memories about my own dog.  I’m sure you’ll join me in sending much love to Fi and her family for the sad loss of a beloved family member.  Losing a pet is unfortunately an inevitable part of owning one, and it can be an important lesson for the children in the family, often their first experience of death.

Like life and death, the other inevitable about having a pet is…poo!  Mad House Mum has a hilarious post about the art of poop scooping. And let’s not forget the wee too.

As the weather heats up, I’ve been looking at ways to keep your dog cool this summer and avoid overheating.

Erica over at 9 2 Three Thirty has been reviewing a clever little microchip cat feeder and Eco Gites updates us on Moo cat following her spaying operation, and her new head accessory the plastic lampshade – or cone of shame as we call it.

As always, if you’ve got a pet post, please do share it with me.  You can find me on Twitter @missielizzieb. Until next time…
