Welcome to the new Pets Round-up, a monthly snuffle around all the best pet-related posts in the bloggersphere. I’m delighted to be taking some time away from my blog over at Me and My Shadow to pay homage here to our fluffy/furry/scaley/feathered friends.
We’ve recently welcomed a new addition into our lives, Springer Spaniel puppy Delilah. She’s full-on, non-stop hard work, nippy and chewy and piddly but we’re still in the puppy-moon bubble and absolutely loving her to pieces. I’d like to say I’ve written all about her over on my blog, but when I try this happens.
So yeah, not so much, yet!
Still, plenty of other lovely bloggers have been sharing their tails tales, and here’s my selection of favourites.
Starting at the beginning: Getting a new pet.
There’s a great post from LarabeeUK about the pros and cons of getting a rescue as she writes about getting their cat from the RSPCA. I wonder if it will turn out to be as much of a handful as Scrappy Cat owned by JuggleMum?
City Coastal Lifestyle introduces her adorable new adopted puppy in the only way a blogger knows how. I wonder how long it will be before this pup gets its own blog like Mollie The Border Collie?
Owning fur-balls can be an expensive business, but you can always rely on Frugal Family to come up with some awesome money-saving tips, and yes, she’s even got a post on how to save money on your pets. If your furry creature is of the hoppy long-eared variety, then The Brick Castle has a great tutorial on making a recycled rabbit play centre *looks around at all the pre-Christmas Amazon boxes scattered around the house*.
As it is Christmas soon, you might like to shower your pet with some homemade gifts, and ParentShaped has a fab recipe for doggie biscuits. They look almost good enough to dunk into my cuppa, but maybe I should just make some for my pooch. Red Ted Art is getting creative with those loo roll tubes again, and comes up with this great cat toy.
Before I go, I just wanted to share this cautionary tale which made me titter. Something to bear in mind if you’re sending Christmas parcels through the mail to your animal family members.
If you write any posts about those extra special family members, please do send me a link over on Twitter so I can include it next month.

Thank you so much for including my post! It is so true about all of those Amazon boxes though. Is everyone's house actually the same as mine then? hahaha :D
