Party Inspiration: Birthdays galore!

The school holidays have come to an end and I’m quite tearful and feeling nostalgic! All our little tea parties, picnics and birthday celebrations at the beach are over and it’s back to the old routine.

We celebrated what turned out to be a very soggy 2nd birthday for our own little Hero with a Disney Wild West party BBQ at the beach – whilst we didn’t get the sunshine, thankfully quite a few of you did and celebrated in style throughout the summer – take a look!

Blue is my absolute favourite colour – I blame it on Cinderella – and whilst A Cup Full of Glitter’s husband is much the same as mine when it comes to birthdays, his special day was celebrated with the most beautiful blue scheme – and the cake is just scrumptious looking!

Over at the Dadventurer, party preparation was been in full swing for toddler L’s second birthday. Although I like to have my invites ready at least a month in advance, I’m actually very glad that he never got around to printing his! Have a read and see what nearly made it to print – and read all about their gorgeous Pinterest inspired creations.

Wookie Cookies just might be my new favourite snack after reading all about the Star Wars themed party over at Catch a Single Thought – there are so many brilliant DIY details in this post – if you’re a Star Wars loving family like us, you need to read this – their alternate to party bags idea is complete genius!

My middle son is a fruitivore, we decided after falling completely in love with the dinosaur themed party happening over at Nobody Said It Was Easy – featuring the best dinosaur table centrepiece ever.

But parties aren’t just for birthdays – Nadine’s been making beautiful edible flower ice cubes to dress up summer drinks over at JuggleMum, with a step by step post to show you just how simple it is.

I happened upon not one but TWO Minecraft themed party posts I’d completely missed this month – Cuddle Fairy is sharing all kinds of inspiration, and over at Capture by Lucy they were celebrating a 7th birthday just the sweetest – and her Piñata photographs are exactly the expressions we get on our boys too. No party is complete without a piñata!

I’m looking forward to sneaking in some back to school tea parties this month – how about you? Drop me a line and share your celebrations!
