Once upon a time… Bedtime stories by bloggers

Bedtime stories by parent bloggers, just in time for Christmas!

When Nataliya, who blogs at Greenkiddie, gathered together sixteen other bloggers to create a collection of bedtime stories, they produced a lovely Christmas gift as well as an ideal way to contribute to Save the Children this holiday season.

Same beginning, one line, many different stories. Seventeen UK parent bloggers took the challenge to ‘tell the story’ their way. This is our gift to the children around the world: beautiful stories with illustrations from our own kids, making it a perfect bedtime storybook.

By creating this book called ‘Once upon a time’ we are fundraising for Save the Children. The profit of all book sales will be donated to the charity.

Now it’s on to you! We are raising money for those kids, born with the challenge to survive. Let’s help them write a better story of their life, one that will make them smile!

Besides, the book is funny and colourful, making it the perfect Christmas gift for a child. You can view and purchase the book HERE.

    Nataliya, GreenKiddie

I read Nataliya’s call to parent bloggers on the BritMums site and thought it such a wonderful and fun idea that I jumped at the chance to get involved!

Writing the story itself was a lot of fun and akin to writing a blog post – just one that would be read to children! Normally I write about such joys in life as biscuits so it was a challenge for me to change styles of writing. I am so glad to have been involved with the project and it just goes to show that it pays to keep your eyes open with the BritMums network as there are always opportunities to get involved in various projects.

Nataliya has does a great job of arranging the book, from the concept right through to pulling the stories together and organising the book being published and so I’d like to take this opportunity to say a great big ‘thank you’ to her. And as the lady says it’s for a great cause and would make an ideal – and unique Christmas present for any child!
