Newbie Tuesday: Festive goings-on, birthdays & Toast!

HO HO HO? NO NO NO! There’s no denying it – there is definitely something Christmassy in the air as we have seen an influx of festive posts these past few days. The Mammasaurus household is rather ‘bah humbug’ until at least December 14th and so I peer at my laptop screen from behind a cushion a lot at the moment. Luckily for me, my spirits are kept constantly high due to a diet which consists largely of gin and new blogs. And so without further ado I give you my Highlights of the Week.

Leading the way this week with the Crimbo festivities is Views From The Lounge Window  who has been singing ‘Ding Dong Doris on High‘! Close on her heels is Dear Beautiful Boy who is offering bloggers the chance to link up and show the world what Christmas in your house looks like, hmmm I don’t think she’d be impressed with my efforts so far…

Of course, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas with a star! A really good tutorial on making the most gorgeous star from HPMcQ has inspired me this week and she’s opened up a linky for those making these super stars to share their handy work.  Talking of stars, the twins in the Edspire household have also been enjoying stars but this time the type that are found in the starry, starry night *warning contains a seriously cute video*!

But what is Yuletide without Christmas Pudding? The mere mention of it makes me dribble. Chez Foti has a recipe for her Great-Granny’s Christmas Pudding complete with photos to make your mouth water!

But it’s not all been Christmas, Christmas , Christmas this week…

The Bluebirdsunshine household has been singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Sun, who turned three this week – many happy returns to the little fella!

One little fella who won’t be celebrating any more birthdays is Toast, Mummy Cool‘s hamster who sadly met his maker this week. Whatever you do don’t tweet her ‘chinchillas’  – and if you do be sure not to mention that I sent you!

And finally this week I posted on my blog asking bloggers to link up the very first post that they wrote. The blogs that joined in make for good reading, a real mixed bag  from new bloggers like A Hell Of A Woman to established (dare I say it aloud… ‘older’) bloggers like Typecast. It’s interesting to see who we all started off on our blogs with, what for many of us. will remain our least read post!

Have a great week everyone and if you spot a new blogger looking lost and in need of love point them our way @MammasaurusBlog or @BritMums !
