Morning one and all! It’s officially November which means PANIC – it’s nearly Christmas!
The past seven days I’ve been as happy as a bunny bouncing through summer meadows towards a big pile of juicy carrots as I’ve found lots of newer bloggers that I haven’t come across before. And so this weeks highlights contains only newer bloggers that have not previously featured in Newbie Tuesday. Brace yourselves, it’s going to be rather good!
Highlights of the week
Life,As I know it has made a hard decision rearding her families future this week and Tiddler on the Loose has been looking for the right childminder.
Cols Blog has discussed the wave of celebrities writing pregnancy books and Turkish Mum has written about her possibly bi-lingual baby – or should that be bebek?!
There have been moments of celebrity stardom this week with The Wonderful and Scary Thoughts of a Crazy Mummy has met the yummy David Tennant and My Life, My Son, My Way has had her Dear so and So post retweeted to the masses than none other than comedian god Ricky Gervais!
Purple Chronicle‘s been thankful, From Fun To Mum‘s been celebrating, Me. He. & Them‘s been to Ju Jitsu class and Lulastic has been protesting outside St Pauls Cathedral with her kids.
And finally I’m breaking this weeks self inflicted rules of ‘only previously unfeatured’ bloggers with a special mention for a blogger who has had a tremendously hard couple of weeks. Three Little Flowers welcomed his twins girls into the world on October 20th, his wife sadly has complications and nearly died following childbirth. Thankfully she pulled through and has now returned home with her lovely twins to join Matthew and their daughter. Three Little Flowers has written a touching post of thanks to the Angel in the NHS.
Tips of the Week
Embracing the blogosphere, sharing the love, engaging with fellow bloggers – it’s good to be a friendly blogger!
The blogosphere is full of supportive and friendly people and there’s a real sense of community but you may need to make yourself known.
A good start is to join blogging networks such as BritMums. Once you have registered with BritMums make sure to take a look at the Forum and the Groups. Did you know that there are Groups on BritMums on everything from baby led weaning to political mums – and if you are looking for a group that doesn’t exist it’s really easy to start one. Get involved and get noticed.
And now a word on commenting on peoples posts. Don’t feel pressure to comment on every post you read, however if you do find one that you like why not let that blogger know, either by commenting or finding the blogger Twitter to let them know. If there’s one thing a blogger loves it’s a big piece of cake bit of recognition!
And now I must dash – there’s a pumpkin going mushy on my front door step. Go forth this week, super bloggers and make an extra effort to give feedback to fellow bloggers – you may just be surprised at the reaction and love that you receive in return!
