Well it is 2014 and I don’t know about you but for me, January is in full swing!
My family and I had an amazing Christmas and New Year. We went on a cruise over Christmas that took us from New York to the Bahamas and back again, then we stayed in New York to see in the New Year! It was certainly memorable but I feel like I need another holiday now to get over it! Coming back jet-lagged to my Inbox, the school run and my laundry pile has meant that I’m back up to full mummy speed, and not in holiday mode anymore! You can read a little about my stay in New York here, and it also includes a video showing you what the rooms and the Waldorf Astoria are like – before I went, I’d always wanted to know!
So, let me share what other bloggers have been up to over the past few weeks and remember, to be included in this roundup, just email me with your submission. If it misses the current roundup I can always use it in the next one!
First up, two mummy bloggers have teamed together to create a brand new blog from their children’s perspective! Victoria from Verily Victoria Vocalises and Cathie from the Wicked World of Lucas blog have got their children Grace and Lucas involved and the kids now have a blog of their own! kidGloves (get it?!) is the fab new offering from the kids and their mums who do all the ‘boring stuff’! (Their words!) This is a site by kids for kids and you can watch a Christmas message from Grace and Lucas here.
Next, Emily from Twin Mummy and Daddy shared her IVF experience which goes on to show the pregnancy and then their twins in special care and coming home. It is a lovely tribute in photos to this memorable time in their lives.
Lisa Hodson from Hollybobbs has done an insight into her day as a mum with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I love the honesty of this vlog and think Lisa rocks at mid-day when she comes back to the camera with her make up on… love it!!
The lovely Eileen from ET Speaks from Home has flexed her movie making muscle this month with a fab video review of her son’s spy toys! This is really unlike any other review post I’ve seen. She has very creatively put together a ‘trailer’ like a movie to showcase this toy and how her son uses it, then she has recorded video to show you how it all works. You can see how she does it here – well done on the cinematic feel to the trailer Eileen, very impressive!
Eileen has been busy this month as she also reviews a Bluetooth speaker. Check out her video here.
Finally Peggy at Perfectly Happy Mum did a video a few months ago which I’ve only just discovered on the BritMums network! She was wondering whether to have a third child or not and decided to vlog her thoughts to see if it helped her make the decision. Some people will certainly relate to what she is saying, check it out here.
Thanks so much to the vloggers who submitted this month. This roundup happens every month so please keep your posts coming in. The video can be any subject but I’d like to introduce themes, so let’s dig out our cameras and record some vlogs around things you love, people you love, February is the month of love after all. So next time the theme is ‘LOVE’. Interpret that how you will!
I will need your vlogs in by Valentines Day! Send me an email to JuggleMum@gmail.com
