My first BritMums Reviews Round-up!

My first BritMums Reviews Round-up!

ReviewsTwo weeks ago I was asked to take up the role of the Britmums Reviews round-up editor, and I gladly agreed, as writing reviews is definitely my hobby! I have been blogging at All Baby Advice for more than 3 years now, and if you are my blog’s regular reader, than you know I review products on a regular basis. If you compare my first reviews to the ones I write these days, they are very different. We all learn by making mistakes and through experience, and I have found out that putting my heart and my personal experience attracts many more readers than just overloading my readers with too much information about a product, which they can find online anyway.

As this is the first time I am writing the reviews round-up, I went for my favourite blogs, most of which are written by my fellow bloggers and some of them have been my friends for a few years now.  Before I reveal who they are, I would like to draw your attention to one of my latest reviews. As some of you might know, I have recently given birth to baby Olivia, so reviewing nursing bras is currently “my thing”. What do you think, Can nursing bras be sexy?

My first mention goes to Jen from The Mad House as she has already come up with quite a few Tips for choosing a school uniform. I know our children have only just started school holidays, but the few weeks will fly by and I can tell you that leaving it till the last week of the school holidays can become a nightmare. I did that last year, as Isabelle was starting reception, and finished up being really stressed as there wasn’t much stuff left in the shops.

If you are a Londoner or heading to spend a few days in the capital this summer, then Uju’s Top 10 London shows for kids can come really handy. Apparently, one of Isabelle’s favourite stories, The Tiger who Came to Tea, is the must see this summer. She has also reminded us that there is a current great offer with the annual Kids Week offer (one free child ticket to a West End show for every paying adult), so make the most of it.

If you know me, you know I love shoes. And since becoming a mum 5 years ago, it is not mostly about yummy mummy shoes, but about gorgeous baby and children’s’ shoes. Olivia was very lucky and was sent an absolutely gorgeous pair of Bobux shoes, but she wasn’t the only one. There were quite a few babies and children very lucky to be sent some adorable shoes. Emily’s daughter was testing a pair of Daisy Roots soft leather baby shoes. Skeanie shoes seemed to be especially popular this month in the blogosphere, as you can see from Emma’s Skeanie leather shoes review and also in Jenny’s Skeanie shoes review & discount ( 15% using “mummyblog” code)!

Vicki was saluting to Little Vintage for sending her some fabulous gifts for her gorgeous son Oliver. I can tell you, if I had a boy I would love shopping for his clothes on their website. I have had a little peek and have found quite a few absolutely gorgeous outfits for my girls too. They offer clothes for boys and girls from newborn to 6+, so keep them in mind when shopping for gifts as Vicki suggested the gifts arrived really nicely wrapped too!

I am really lucky as we will be soon heading off to spend a few weeks with my family in the Czech Republic, but many of you will be staying here in the UK, and trying to keep sane while entertaining your children for 6 weeks. We all know how hard this can be, and especially if the weather isn’t very kind to us. Penny has a solution for you!  Check out her mention and review of Frugal and fun eBook. It is full of fabulous ideas to keep your children busy and entertained for the whole of school holidays. Fingers crossed the weather will stay as nice as it has been in the past few days.

My last mention today belongs to one of Susan’s book reviews. I used to read loads, but since having children I have been so busy that I have to admit I read less and less books, except children’s books. These days it seems for me almost impossible to go to bed early with a book in my hand, and falling asleep while reading some amazing stories. Hopefully soon, and the Partials by Dan Wells looks like a story I would really enjoy reading.

I hope you have enjoyed my first Britmums Reviews Round-up, and if you would like me to read your review and maybe mention it in the next one, why don’t you add your link below, email me allbabyadvice@yahoo.co.uk or tweet me at @Kahanka.
