What a month ladies and gentlemen and it’s not over yet – the party is only just beginning! Bring It On I say, I’m ready for you and IF I have forgotten something it will only put my problem solving skills to the test, right?
I have completed my major Christmas shop this week and as I speak my fridge is bulging, my freezer bursts every time I open the door and every cupboard in my kitchen is stocked to full capacity, If I happen to be an only survivor of a tardi Armageddon at least I can eat.
Even the cashier was amazed at the almost £300 I spent, I nearly fell over when she reeled off the price. I haven’t the heart to tell Other Half and have been thinking of excuses to cover my purchases all week.
1 extra large turkey cost £37, I am of the mindset that if you don’t have turkey leftovers hanging around for at least a week it really isn’t Christmas. 1 large gammon to feed 15 on Sunday cost £25. 1 whole salmon (Christmas Eve) another £15 and a tray of beer for the Mr and that’s £100 done and dusted before I even started on the trimmings.
I am loving it. I revel in the preparation and I have my 13 year old niece who’ll be arriving Christmas Eve to spend the Big Day with us who has had me on a Crimbo countdown from 88 days ago on her Facebook account. How could I ignore that?
I have to share one of my own posts with you – come on it’s Christmas – I saw it on The Imagination Tree last year and bookmarked it for this year. I’m beside myself with excitement as I wait to give the twins their Christmas Eve Surprise Parcels you can even make one with things you already have.
