MBPW“Here we are again, as happy as can be, all good friends and jolly good company”

Do you know that song? My grandmother used to sing it to me as a child and it stuck. For some reason I associate it with sunny weather and family so it seems perfect, with the glorious sunshine we’ve been enjoying, to start this week’s #MBPW with it.

Dare I complain that my grass is now looking like straw? Dare I moan that I’ve had to water the garden Every. Single. Day for the past three weeks to save my flowers and veggie plot from death by sunstroke ?

No because I would rather have sunny days than grey miserable wet ones. No complaining from me, just the odd grumble.

Talking of water, we were recently switched to a water meter which is a bit of a nuisance because now we have to be more careful. I have talked with the girls about this, the importance of turning the tap off after washing hands, brushing teeth and so on so you can imagine my pain when I went to bed last night to find the upstairs tap running full blast for what was most probably at least two hours.

My detective work discovered that twin 1 (who will remain un-named in this instance) got out of bed to go to the toilet, good girl, washed her hands, again good girl, but must have forgotten to turn the tap off …

A summit meeting was held over breakfast reinforcing the I Mustn’t Forget To Turn The Tap Off issue once again and I’m hoping this time it has sunk in.

In fact the twins celebrated the grand old age of 5 this week and so I wrote a post about them in the hope they look back on it in years to come and see through my eyes what they were like… should I mention the tap?

Just in case you are curious about my trip on the cruise ship dah-ling last Saturday, it was amazing and you can read all about it here in my Royal Caribbean post

Is that cheating choosing two posts? Move along, move along now.

Your turn. Please add your favourite post from the last week to the Linky below and have the most wonderful weekend

One plus point about the sun and the grass is we haven't had to mow it for weeks now!

I know we haven't seen much rain lately but I'd definitely advise you get yourself a waterbutt or something to catch the water in - especially with all the watering of the garden you need to do.

You're right, I have been meaning to get one all year. NOW I really do need one. Monday, it's on the To Do list ;)
