Do you find it cathartic to write down your thoughts on paper (laptop)? I do, it kind of helps me get them straight. It helps me see where I may be going wrong. To see what, if anything, needs changing and can even show me the way forward sometimes.
Sometimes from these ramblings I wonder if anyone else has come across this before/ is suffering like this/ ever has these thoughts? It’s also nice to ask other people their thoughts on a matter to weigh up if you were thinking correctly or maybe you were barking up the wrong tree. A sounding ground.
Ever done that?
I did and in my naiveness I went about it totally the wrong way, as you do when you’re not thinking straight. I wrote a blog post. I threw down all my confused thoughts about a friend of mine who I was struggling to understand as her behaviour towards me had changed and I couldn’t understand why? I published my thoughts – not on my blog on another blog I was writing for, my mistake was adding the link to my Facebook page where all of my friends could access it.
You can work out what happened 🙁
This happened in August last year and my actions deeply upset my friend. So much that yesterday, after many failed attempts to try and reach out I received a last goodbye email.
I couldn’t fix it guys.
Sometimes the repercussions of writing your thoughts down on paper can have a ripple effect that takes a long time to faze out and it can change you and your life so I wanted to share this experience in the hope that you keep it in mind and don’t make the same mistake because we all love writing and blogging but we must keep in mind the consequences of sharing our thoughts.
Has blogging ever got you into trouble?
Leave your best post from last week in the Linky below and try your hardest to visit a couple of links too. I managed to visit 14 last week but I want to up my game this week so watch out for me flying by
PS. Do you seriously need that Captcha? It’s costing me time, precious seconds and extra clicks, I wonder if people simply turn away on seeing one? thoughts below please and have a great weekend

Ok, I'm going to ask a real dumb question. What is captcha? How do I know if I have it, and what do I do about getting rid of it if I have? #stilllearning

I haven't had one of those stomach-churning moments yet. Almost but I deleted the post before the person I was annoyed out found out about my blog.

Crikey! I know that horrible heart-sinking to your feet moment that you are talking about! Thankfully I haven't done it on my blog - and hopefully never will. I need to be a bit careful because Grace's father and I have been throught the mill at court many years ago and I would love to share my experiences but unfortunately it is something that I will never be able to blog about!

Oh that's sad, I'm sorry to hear about the situation with your friend. I guess it's not at all how you wanted it to play out, but maybe it all happened for a reason.
Good advice to be thoughtful about your posts though. So far I've not written anything I've regretted, but on the occasions when I've written something that *might* upset people I've asked friends to host as anonymous guest posts. That's one way around it if you want feedback but don't want it associated with you.

I only just turned captcha off last week, but only because I'm so technically lacking I didn't realise it was on to start with! I'm grateful for someone who read my blog, commented, and then asked if I minded turning it off. I agree that it's a time waster, annoying, and I can't really see the point of having it on.
