If you are wondering whether now is the right time to start then Le Coin De Mel has 5 signs to look out for and shares a little insight into her little girl’s journey. It is so hard to know when to start but hopefully her tips will help you recognise the signs. You Baby Me Mummy shared the beginning of her daughter’s journey, showing that sometimes it is the child that initiates it all (something we all wish for I am sure!).
Once you feel that your little one is ready you will need a few tips to get you started. Potty training is personal to each child so you need to find out what works for you but Mummy Tries shares some great starter points. Sophie Ella and Me also has a great list of potty training essentials for you – who knew there was so many things needed?
There will be days when you hit a bump in the road, your little one might have an accident or a wobble in confidence. Odd Socks and Lollipops has a great post sharing her experience and ways to help your little one get back on track. I certainly had a blip when chicken pox hit our house and at the time you feel like it is the end of the world, but you get past it and they are dry before too long.
I think we all need a bit of a laugh to get us through it all and this post from Whinge Whinge Wine will have you laughing out loud and this poem from Life Is Knutts is just hilarious!
And finally, I really related to this post from Admissions of a Working Mother about her little boy and the fact that he is not potty trained at 3 years old. So many people will have an opinion on the matter and offer up advice that is not at all helpful to the situation. At the end of the day, it is nobody else’s business and so you need to focus on your own child and know that they will get there in their own time.
Whatever stage you are at right now, good luck!
Next month I am going to be talking about introducing a toddler to a new baby, so if you have a post around that subject then drop me a line at katy@whatkatysaid.com or tweet me @WhatKatySaidUK to be considered for the next round-up.

Lots of great advice there. I'll be needing it all soon as my youngest is showing signs she's ready (I am SO not ready!). Thanks for including us too x
