Meet BritMums fabulous Round up editors

BritMums editors 2013

One of the greatest regular features on the BritMums blog has to be the Round-ups which are compiled monthly by our wonderful contributors.

These are the bloggers who keep a beady eye on what’s happening in the blogosphere and share with us the crème de la crème, after all not all of us have time to read every single blog post that gets published right?

We want to showcase our editors partly to thank them for their continued efforts and also so you know who to go to with your posts if you’d like to submit them for a particular round-up. They are always on the lookout and interested to find new blogs to read

BritMums Round up editors

Travel – Trish Burgess started blogging to record her fabulous family holidays and hasn’t looked back since, Mum’s Gone To… has won many awards and Trish always has a trip or destination to talk about.

Newbies – A very special Round-up put together monthly by the lovely Helen Wills. This is the place where newcomers to the blogging scene can showcase their work and reach a bigger audience. Read her fabulous blog Actually Mummy to find out more

Poetry and Prose – This is one of our shared Round-ups, meaning the editors write on a bi-monthly basis but you don’t miss out as two of them cover the job. The Poetry and Prose Round-up is written by Victoria Welton author of Verily Victoria Vocalises and Helen Braid from All At Sea channel your inner poet and let them know about it.

Fairy Blog Mother – A more recent addition to the BritMums blog which I sincerely hope you follow as Alice Elliot is full of all the information every blogger needs to stay on top of. Of course she has plenty more info on her own blog Fairy Blog Mother

Art and Culture – Nell Heshram brings us this brand new idea of collecting all the ‘What’s on’ information she finds around the community. Her first post focused on the much loved World Book Day and I’m positive she’ll have something equally great for us in April. You can find nell over at her blog The Pigeon Pair and Me

Style – Carolin Mader now runs the Style round-up alongside writing her own blog Mummy Alarm If you like to focus on fashion or have a What I’m Wearing Wednesday kind of post, let her know about it

Positively Inspirational – This is another Round-up shared between two authors, Michelle Pannell and Emma Syder, winner of the BiBs Lifestyle award 2013. Michelle writes Mummy from the Heart and Emma The Syders, these ladies are determined to bring some inspiration into our lives and monthly they share their favourite posts to do just that.

Teens and Tweens – Yes our families also have teens and tweens in them and don’t we know it! There’s nothing nicer than being able to share the ups and downs of this particular family member who can be so lovable and yet again so damned difficult to bring up at times. Sarah Wood from Mum of Three World or MO3W collects all the ruffled feathers and the proud parent notes for us every month.

Dads – Spencer is our resident Dad editor he does the job of pulling together a round-up focusing on the dad bloggers out there who have their point of view, in fact reading their point of view often can open your eyes up to ‘The Other Side’ always a great read and if you want more then nip over to A Dad Called Spen

Food – Emma Raphael. Now here’s a lady who knows her nachos from her nuggets, Emma has been writing the Foodie round-up for two years now and boy has she collected some fabulous recipes in her time. Emma is passionate about food and even more about travel, she is also a very gifted photographer, take a look for yourself at A Bavarian Sojourn

Education – Every decent parent is interested in their child’s education and Mary Key has seen most phases of the British system as she packs off her first born to University in September, Mary brings together all sorts of education posts, all schools, all systems and also Home Educating, the word on everyone’s lips right now. Check out Keynko for more of her wisdom and laughter.

Politics – Sonya Cisco from Rock n Roll Mum has been collating the politics posts for a couple of years now too and boy has she touched on some delicate issues. She shows us that bloggers are opinionated people who want what’s right fro the country and will shout out to make sure it’s done.

Giveaways and Competitions – Who doesn’t like a prize? We all do and Helen Neale is bringing us a monthly round-up of all the goodies out there in the blogosphere making it so much easier for us. Helen writes at KiddyCharts and Stickers, Stars and Smiles

Expat – I have been an expat and know what it’s like to live in a country that is not your own and also to be far away from your family. Mirka Moore knows that too and brings us a round-up of many others in the same boat. You can also read Mirka’s blog All Baby Advice and more

Good Reads – One of my favourite monthly reads written by the Domestic Goddesque herself Kelly Innes. Kelly ‘s travels around the blogosphere take her all over and every month she puts together an amazing collection which is honestly the Best Read. Keep an eye out for it, you won’t be disappointed.

Dad’s voice – John Adams is a dad blogger and once a month he writes his thoughts of the moment to share with the BritMums readers, often they are topics women think of too but to hear dad’s point of view is always refreshing and helps us understand more. Find out more at Dad Blog Uk

Charity – Kate Davies Holmes Kate looks after the BritMums social media and writes the charity round-up a column very close to her heart, Kate on Thin Ice is where you can find her
