So, did any of you make some resolutions? Or goals, as lots of people are calling them now? My main goal is to live life more. I know that sounds like a huge goal but there’s so much to experience out there and I feel that sometimes the day to day life (as it has to!) just takes over a little. Anyway, if any of you are struggling to keep to your goals or just feel you need a little more inspiration then this is the post for you. I’ve picked some fabulous videos to help you, hopefully!
First up is a Facebook live video from Michelle Reeves. This is a coaching session which helps you choose one inspiring word which suits you for 2017. The video takes you through the process of how to achieve finding that word. I’m down to two or three but, as Michelle says, you have to spend a couple of days working out which is the right one for you. I can’t urge you enough to watch this workshop as it is so inspiring.
For that little bit of inspiration from fellow bloggers and vloggers I would recommend watching Sian Russell’s vlog with her goals for 2017 looking at blogging, social media and also family time. Sian highlights some wonderful goals which I feel many of us bloggers and vloggers would also benefit from. Hayley from Land of Lawson also has a vlog with a great list of resolutions for 2017, some of which I am tempted to copy, particularly the one all about ‘me time!’
Now, a New Year resolution post would not be complete without some tips on healthy eating, and this diary vlog from Jules Furness is a great honest update on her healthier eating and exercising journey. For anyone who needs some inspiration or a little gentle nudge in the right direction then head over to watch Jules with her updates and tips on how she is facing this challenge.
So, who feels that their life could do with some decluttering? Or would you like to do a little more for the environment by being less wasteful? I know I do, so I picked up some excellent tips from both Laura Sidestreet and Claire Mansell on living a simpler less cluttered life through 2017. Laura’s video sets a challenge by reducing everything she currently has by 50% and Claire looks at how we can live simpler, less wasteful lives.
Hopefully these videos will help give you a little help with keeping you on the right path of committing to your own goals. However, if you feel that you still need a little more help then be sure to watch Talya’s video on real goals for real mums. This is a very entertaining look at reducing the amount of times one looses their **** to less whining and less phone time! Talya certainly has a way of making you smile!
Thank you to everyone who submitted their videos to me. I really love watching what everyone gets up to over the month. Inspired by Hayley’s video on incorporating ‘me time’ into her week, February’s round-up will be all about things ‘me time’ related, be it spa reviews, days out or mindfulness. Please send your videos for consideration to helen@justsayingmum.com or dm me via twitter.
About Helen Sandle
Hi, I’m Helen and mum to two teenage daughters and one teenage son and am married to a very handsome man! I blog at www.justsayingmum.com mainly about the musings of raising three teens which, as I’m sure you can imagine, comes with plenty of stories! I have also started vlogging about teens issues and all these vlogs are either with my children themselves chatting about various relevant issues to being a teen or with the fabulous Sarah and Jayne who are talking therapists who specialise in teens so we have lots of fun talking about very real parenting teen issues!
