Hello and welcome back to the November Instagram round-up. It’s been said before but I’ll say it again: how on earth is it November already? It will be all Christmas trees and visits to see Santa on everyone’s Insta feeds very soon, won’t it? I love how when I spend a bit of time over on Instagram I can get a real glimpse into people’s lives (even more ‘real’ if I flick through IG stories!) and I can’t wait to see all your Christmassy snaps.
I’ve really enjoyed reading everyone’s thoughts about Instagram this month. There is so much knowledge out there amongst the community. I’m kicking off this round-up with a post over on Island Living 365 where Emma tells us what her Instagram feed says about her.
Annette at Three Little Buttons has written all about discovering Instagram and how it has turned from ‘something she felt she should be doing in terms of helping her blog but it’s quickly turned into a form of social media that she just loves being a part of.
So once you’ve finally discovered Instagram, like Annette and worked out what your feed says about you just like Emma. It could be high time to put a strategy into place. I found 25 Ways to get highly engaged on Instagram a really informative read. I also picked up loads of ideas from 19 seriously smart tips to up your Instagram game-I couldn’t agree more about putting pics into black and white if they don’t quite work in colour, see my example below where switching to B&W saved my pic of Rose in a puddle looking washed out from the sun.
Back to the community now, Colette from We’re going on an adventure has done a sterling job at writing three highly informative posts on the subject of Instagram. I recommend you read Getting started on Instagram first and then have a good look round Colette’s other easy to follow Instagram posts, I am sure they will prove most helpful. Here’s a pic of Colette’s dog (cute, much?) which shows you don’t have to stick to images of your kids and it’s good to diversify your feed.
That’s a lot of tips to keep you going for the next month. I’ll leave you with a lovely little infographic with 20 of the world’s most Instagrammed tourist attractions whilst I sit looking at it, cuppa in hand, day dreaming about how many I would like to tick off my list!

@catherine_frawley-I have recently taken a couple of food photography courses where Catherine has been one of the teachers. I have really fallen for her account and basically wish it was mine! Brilliant stuff.
@tarajgreaves-has a beautiful Instagram feed and one guaranteed to make you smile.

Fantastic post, I am exactly the same with Instagram. I find it takes me on a journey each day and I get totally absorbed in it.
