I love New Year, not so much the waiting around for taxis at the end of the night, or the late night ‘Happy New Year’ text that comes through at 3.30 am waking you up, because the network was down. I do however love the feeling of newness, reflection, out with the old things that don’t work and remembering memories that make you smile. I do think its a great time to reflect about your home, to think about what works and what doesn’t and to declutter, and that counts for the mind and house in my book.
So to start this January Round-up off, I spotted this printable from Penny which I absolutely love – House Audit/New Home Resolutions 2015, I love the idea of making projects more bite-sized. I have so many plans for 2015, I might be joining in on this one…how about you?
I love this post from Jen at Love Chic Living who has been looking at making the most of your family dining space, not only how to create it, but also how to make it actually function. Becky over at Thrifty Home, has been looking at storage solutions, something ever home should look at in the new year.
How about inspiration for a new arrival? Here are three completely different looks that Moo and Woo went for. I love the tree in the turquoise nursery.
Happy Little Spaces, has blogged about her master bedroom revamp. I’m loving that she is not rushing this makeover, and hopefully in the new year Claire will have all of the perfect accessories to complete it. It’s a yes from me about the sheepskin rug, it would be a great way to add texture and a luxurious feel!
I have my own makeover on the go at the moment in my hallway, it going to have a mid-century and round theme, It slow going but I’ve found a great mirror and vintage plates for the walls.
Here’s to 2015 being filled with lots of new home and design adventures!

Oh some lovely ideas and make overs there :)
I've just recently redecorated my son's bedroom since his old wallpaper was looking a bit babyish now that he's 5. You can check it out here: http://www.thebreastestnews.co.uk/2014/12/the-boys-bedroom-makeover.html
As you can see major superhero theme going on there. Also I'm due in 4 days so have done up the spare room into the baby's nursery: http://www.thebreastestnews.co.uk/2014/11/a-peak-around-babys-nursery.html
Still need to add a few bits and pieces though but will purchase more personalised items when baby is born.
