Home and Design Round-up: Moodboards and makeovers

home and design round-up 610Welcome to May’s Home and Design round-up where I’ve got a really varied selection of posts to show you this month. Thank you to everyone who has been commenting or tweeting me some posts to look at, I really love looking at other people’s home (don’t we all!) and taking inspiration from what they’ve been doing. It’s one of the best things about writing the roundup posts.

Becky has been working really hard on her daughter’s bedroom makeover on a budget this month and has put together a lovely moodboard. Moodboards are great for visualising the end result and a great tool for helping you plan the room scheme. As you might imagine this little girl’s room is very pink.

Oyster and Pearl is continuing with her Project Simplify which I love. This month saw her declutter and reorganise her boys’ bedroom and the images are just gorgeous. Do hop over and take a closer look and join in her linky if you have a post to share.

I just love the review of a Henry Mop over at Tidy Away Today! Antonia has done really well with her first vlog review, which is a great way to showcase a product, especially something like a mop. And I’m even persuaded to get myself one for the kitchen floor!

One of the best things about decorating has to be adding the finishing touches (lots of fun online shopping is usually involved right?) and Rachel at Corner by Corner has been making the most of an empty spot in her kitchen. A lot of thought and love has gone into creating her own unique wall collage which is bright, colourful and personal. I just love the wall plates.

May is a big month for Pinterest with the #PinItForward campaign, which is great for those of us that love our home interiors. Always a great resource for home décor, I’ve been writing about some of the best Pinterest boards to follow for home interiors and DIY. Do check out my recommendations and let me know if you have any that I’ve missed.

Next month I’d love to feature some garden makeovers now the better weather is supposed to here. Big or small it really doesn’t matter so do send me your links. You can tweet me @lovechicliving or leave a comment below.

Thanks for reading and see you in June,
