Football Mum of the Year Twitter party: The ‘football mum’ experience

Maybe you ferry your children to regular football practice. Maybe you cheer them on from the sidelines. Maybe you sacrifice countless hours to help run their local team or club. However you support and encourage your kids in football, we want to hear about your “football mum” experience at our #FootballMumoftheYear Twitter Party.

The party is sponsored by McDonald’s and its Football Mum of the Year Award, for which nominations are now open. The award celebrates all the things regular mums do or have done in supporting their little football players. A Mum of the Year will be awarded in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, with all four winners attending a ceremony at Wembley Stadium in August where the overall UK winner will be announced. They will be presented their award by columnist, fashion designer and mum-of-two Coleen Rooney.

At the #FootballMumoftheYear Twitter party, we’ll be sharing our football stories – everything from kickabouts at the local park to which kit somehow always gets lost. Come tweet on Tuesday 5 March from 13:00 – 14:00 BST. You could win 1 of 10 £25 shopping vouchers just for taking part!
