Friday 12th December is officially Christmas Jumper Day and raises vital funds for Save the Children UK.

How to get involved

The concept is very simple. You wear a festive jumper and you make a donation. Suggested donations are £2 for adults and £1 for children but you can give as much as you like.

You can wear an old jumper, buy one, make one or borrow one. You can get involved as an individual, a family, a group of colleagues, friends or bloggers!

There are fundraising kits available for you and also specific ones for teachers.

Get creative

Blogging and social media

Save the Children UK would love to see bloggers raising awareness of the event via their blogs. If you do get involved, tweet a picture of you wearing your jumper with pride using hashtag #XmasJumperDay.

How can I donate?

There are a variety of ways to get your money to Save the Children UK. One of the easiest is to text JUMPER to 70050 to make a £2 donation.

Can I really make a difference?

Certainly. A £2 donation could pay for potentially life-saving antibiotics to treat 3 babies with infections.

For every donation made, the UK Government has agreed to match it effectively doubling the level of donations.
